S&P 500 Emini Futures
The market sold off into the close yesterday and then traded higher on Globex and pulled a nice Gap and Go on the open this morning. Patience paid off. The 1209/1210 Weekly Trading Zone that the market could not seem to break above on Monday or stay above on Tuesday, served us well today in the role of support, not resistance. The 2 Point - Fact or Fiction? email and ensuing blogpost yesterday seemed to ring a lot of bells. If all I managed to do was get you to think about your own reality and not your fantasy, I'm elated.
I'll never forget a few years ago I was at a friends house when it became official that the AZ Cardinals were going to the SuperBowl. Now he's quite a fan my friend. There ensued a victory dance the likes of which I've never seen. Beer spraying, chip spewing, mania. Get the picture? The chant "We're going to the Super Bowl, We're going to the Super Bowl, We're going to the Super Bowl, got so loud and went on for so long I began to have concerns for his blood pressure, the furniture and possibly the police. I calmly placed a hand on his shoulder, looked him straight in the eye and said -
"Dude, you're not on the team."
It was a real gut punch. His face went from bright red to white as a sheet. He started to wheeze... and mumble. I have the jersey, all of them. I have the underwear. I wear the hat. I have 2 bumper stickers on each car. I once saw Pat Tillman at a traffic light. At least I think it was him...
"Dude, you're not on the team."
See that's reality. Do not confuse charisma and confidence with facts. It's easy to do. Trust me.
