Janny Grein has an awesome piece (looked for it on youtube, but it wasn't there) --- in my view really beautiful, and really full of meaning from which I excerpt and somewhat modify (poetic license????) but not merely plagiarize that goes along the lines of:

As you, in my view, quite aptly teach and represent and present --- in order to be (like/as in "be" a trader or for that matter "be" anything else...) one must first become...  Many have said something to the effect of "...it's the journey" --- think that, that means that really --- "It's all in the process of becoming..."  or perhaps the real issue is --- "How does one --- with some sense of REAL PURPOSE --- become..."  And of course, "that raises the issue of become what exactly, and become how exactly..."

 

Lord may my life here have true meaning....

Lord Jesus, I know that my life/time here (on this planet) it is truly fleeting...

Well Brother, if that you would like a headshot to use --- why settle for less than the best (and that most definitely would not be mine :-)  Perhaps a (The Real) Head shot to think about would be something along the lines of this if you like:

It was a total loss.”  Why is it my Brother, that I get the definitive sense (certainly more than an "inkling") that you are more than well able, more than well capable to "Rock-On," contemplate, ponder, meditate, dance, and sing all at the same time :-)

 

Whatever we do --- think it probably wise --- that we do something worth doing --- that is worth doing from HIS point of view --- don't all that much care what you call me --- as long as we ACCOMPLISH HIS PURPOSE --- that's what we are (still) here for isn't it????  And, I do believe that you well know that :-)

 

Absolutely love Brian Mosley's video on your http://www.cfrn.net/orphanage/  pages.  Whatever helps/assists/contributes-to accomplishing these/those HIS purposes is really quite fine with me...  Traders as missionaries...  Traders on a mission... Well, does this fit:

Traders on a mission --- that's a mouthful????  How much do you sir, think that could be written about that????

 

You know Brother, as I sit here keyboarding, endeavoring to be genuinely "inspired" like/as in/by/with Theo Pneustos  it occurs to me (an "inkling") that even our temporal military and other "Missions" need be "Authorized"  (am curious Brother did you see the emails between "Strike" [Michael B.] and myself from over the weekend????  Especially the lengthy one????  If yes, then, "Captain mine Captain..." --- what Radio Call Sign do you go with???? "Viper,????"  "Mustang,????" --- you certainly have more than five years of dedicated experience and you are most definitely of "Officer" caliber and rank and experience but don't know if you went to one of the military academies, etc.  Would you prefer something else as a Radio Call Sign --- Radio Call Signs could, in my view, add some "verve" to it all if that's okay and "authorized" by you and "STRIKE" :-)  If you remember the scenes from the metaphor/movie --- my take regarding me would be something along the lines of "Sir --- Just Want To Be The Best Inspired, Authorized, God Kind Of Faith Trader In His Majesty's Service --- Sir."  Now, if I can just live up to that...  Lord Jesus, help me... Brother, thank you for your fervent, effectual prayers...  And, absolutely, I do pray for you and for your family and for 'STRIKE" (Michael B.) and for his family and for all of CFRN and for all that are involved and in contact in any way, shape, form, or manner with CFRN.  I absolutely do...

Well, Brother, as you continue to "lay it out" in The CFRN.net Blog Posts, etc., with Courage and Style in my view, line upon line and precept upon precept... perhaps there are a few parallel thoughts that might contribute to your thinking in this from The Message translation the Seventh of Matthew:   and believe me, I do not infer, imply, or in any way suggest that you/you-guys in any way, shape, form, or manner are imparting, presenting, or representing any at all of the negative connotations --- However, I do not at all believe that the same can or even could or should be said regarding much of your --- how shall we put it --- competition????

 

A Simple Guide for Behavior

7 ^1-5 “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Being and Doing

^28-29 When Jesus concluded his address, the crowd burst into applause. They had never heard teaching like this. It was apparent that he was living everything he was saying—quite a contrast to their religion teachers! This was the best teaching they had ever heard.

Brother, do believe that you have an applause button --- so go ahead and hit it in IN HONOR OF OUR LORD, and in my view, that is, as for me, in honor of you and "STRIKE!!!!"  (Really am curious as to whether or not that you saw the lengthy email to "STRIKE" from me from over the weekend --- if not, and if HE HAS NO OBJECTION [Michael B.] that is --- Would you please ask him to forward a copy of it to you.  If you have seen it, and I know that you prefer/need-to-due-to-volume-considerations be brief in your email replies/responses --- please just "shoot" me a one liner that says YES :-) ---  "Don't look for shortcuts to God..." or as you have pointed out with regard to trading and especially regarding learning how to trade, etc.  Ghost Rider 3:16 might point out that Mr. Peterson has certainly provided "a target rich environment" above, as have you in the Blog Posts concerning "SOLID," "FOUNDATIONAL,"  "PRINCIPLES AND PRECEPTS," not only regarding trading and trading education but for "LIFE..."  Bravo Sir, Bravo --- I mean that I really do...

In accordance with the above, whatever we do, I should think it wise that whatever that is, in whatever format and style --- It definitely appears to me that you and "STRIKE" have absolutely no interest in being "stupid carpenters" and I don't see a whole lot of point to hanging curtains in the living room, shower curtains in the second floor bathroom or placing toilet seat covers in the second floor bathroom (in my view these can be truly infernal contraptions depending upon how designed:-) unless that the foundation is SURE AND CERTAIN (I sure cannot improve upon what's written in The Book of Hebrews so suffice it for the here and now for me to reference that...) ---

And a brief Bio ---huh :-)  Brother, do you really think that I could do anything brief...

How about this...  Seeing as how we both know that although the "event" of John 3:16, Romans 10:9,10 etc. can and does occur in an instant, SALVATION IS INDEED AN ONGOING AND CONTINUOUS PROCESS...  so how's this for brief:

"A GENUINE ERSTWHILE DEFINITIVE BUBBA THAT THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT 'SAVED' AND ARE EMPHATICALLY IN THE CONTINUOUS PROCESS OF SAVING..."  and you might quite honestly and accurately add in "and are actively endeavoring to teach to learn how to and to --- TRADE..." ---  (you can also add in after TRADE "Soundly and Profitably" if you like:-)

Well, my Brother, how's that for brief :-)

Not at all trying to be evasive or "too clever by half..."  (You know if one comfortably sits on a park bench for an appropriate length of time listening to some really fine classical music --- Handel, Messiah --- particularly in my view the most excellent version by Christopher Hogwood and The Academy of Ancient Music --- especially The Hallelujah Chorus --- do believe that such suffices just fine for this purpose, [I'm learning from you Brother, I am learning; and from "STRIKE" as well...] and definitely Messiah  ALSO FOR FREE, I figure that this will well work as well --- honestly do believe that one eventually comes to the realization that truly only a genuine "half-wit" can actually really be "too clever by half" and if one is genuinely "In Him," then one might start out that way but it would, at least in my view be really, really hard to stay that way --- so emphatically, I absolutely am not at all trying to be evasive, or too clever by half, or --- if you want my Bio and background --- "Done at your market." but would absolutely very much like and want to discuss that with you (like/as on the telephone) first if that is okay with you...

Truthfully (yes, absolutely truthfully) I have not updated my resume, curriculum vitae, bio --- since grad school in 1986 --- never needed to, everything after that was "word of mouth" and "face to face."  Will absolutely "fill in all of the blanks for you" but quite truthfully, that is the last time that I updated anything --- positions included initiating, developing, establishing, and "running" an Interest Rate Options And Derivative Products "BROKERAGE" Desk for one of the major firms seen on CNBC often --- Caps, Collars, Floors, Swaptions, Interest Rate Corridors, etc. in the Interbank (IBM) Market and the Interdealer (IDM) market --- titles got up to Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Capital Markets (on the brokerage side, although we and particularly I spent huge and inordinate amounts of time with the "Big Gun Traders" most of whom thought that they were indeed "Masters of The Universe."  It was documented at the time, that we [we had a nine member team but as is oft the case there were only a couple of key people who accomplished most of the productivity] as I said, it was documented at the time that we built the number one Interest Rate Options and Derivative Products BROKERAGE Desk in the IBM and IDM markets in the world; and I was the number one revenue producer globally for the firm) --- but all of that is not really important unless it helps you and accomplishes HIS PURPOSE.  As I am well confident that you quite well know --- one can have more degrees than a rectal thermometer (sorry, again honestly hope that you didn't have a mouthful of coffee on that one :-)  and still not only miss the trade but the most important things in this life, and, of course, the next --- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  Matthew 16:25-27 Authorized King James Version.  For a multiplicity of reasons, got to the place where I became supra involved in various churches, also personally planted two churches, traveled and preached/taught with what some might consider those of "the big name ilk" (there is only ONE BIG NAME --- and they call HIM JESUS, but I call HIM, LORD --- care to sing along with me on that

 --- honestly do suppose that this video well makes the point that there is ONLY ONE REALLY IMPORTANT NAME and that there really is only ONE HEAD OF THE CHURCH for those who recall recent church history; do believe that Dottie Rambo penned the words to that, and for those who might have more than a passing interest in how far we have come since the modern or perhaps better put neo-modern "pioneer" televised church days 

Well, in any event, it is not at all a boring story Brother, I do promise you that --- and yes, have quite more than been around the block...  So if you want the last version of my resume, curriculum vitae, bio --- give me a fax number and I will descend into the catacombs and archives, find the box and send/fax it to you --- but honestly and fairly, I really would like to have a telephone conversation with you regarding all of this and more --- mean that, I really do :-)

Brother, it has not at all gone unnoticed that you/you-guys operate with a ton of transparency (and this is quite appreciated, perhaps more than you know!!!!) --- what's the old adage --- "The Door Needs To Swing Both Ways On Level Hinges..." and, as I'm well confident that you are well aware --- the de jure S.E.C. Standard regarding "Disclosure," and "Full Disclosure" is oft cited as "Full and Fair, True and Precise," (not that de facto that is at all the practical reality or that The S.E.C. is even capable of actually verifying or enforcing that standard as on-going events continue to illustrate, demonstrate, and prove) and in just about every legal contract written, somewhere in there is the phrase and condition "at law and in equity," --- Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines the term "equity" in this sense (Black's Law Dictionary is more extensive in its definitions but this will do for the purpose[s] at hand) as: 1 a: a free and reasonable conformity to accepted standards of natural right, law, and justice without prejudice, favoritism, or fraud and without rigor entailing undue hardship: justice according to natural law or right: FAIRNESS... : IMPARTIALITY... or as one readily available on-line site puts it in the sense that I am implying http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Equity --- In its broadest sense, equity is fairness. As a legal system, it is a body of law that addresses concerns that fall outside the jurisdiction of Common Law.  Thus, if we reduce all of that, do think that we get something along the lines of Basic Fairness, that which is Fair, Right, and Appropriate; that which with regard to Principle and Precept "The Door Swings Both Ways On Level Hinges..." Or, as stated in The Bible --- Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:  Acts 10:34 The Authorized King James Version --- Ergo, when that it comes to Principle and Precept one might Deduce, "Sherlock," "Watson," or even "Lucy Liu," that "What's good for the goose, is good for the gander..."  You/you-guys have put a ton of transparency "out there," ergo (therefore) as far as that I am concerned you are entitled quite fairly and in fact in my view it is only fair, right, and appropriate that you get that in return at least from me (what we sow we reap, what goes round comes round --- well, by observation, at least sometimes, with some people --- been there and done that --- With God, All of The Time...:-) so you/you-guys can have all of the transparency from me that you want...  You have my word on that --- and that (my word) used to be worth startling numbers regarding notional principal amounts in the IBM and IDM markets as the legal paperwork doesn't show up for months after the transaction is executed (of course, transaction confirmations are quasi-immediate, but the legal paperwork is quite literally months later)  So whatever that you want to know from me

(that's fairly appropriate) all that you have to do is ask...

Well Brother, when I started this reply it was morning and reasonably early in the morning on Tuesday, 2 October 2012.  Just so as that you know, I do go back and pray over these communications, hopefully thoroughly, including going through and checking and re-checking every website address and watching/praying-through/listening-to every embedded video, song, etc.  Do endeavor to "Do A Proper Job of It..." and to not be frivolous or careless...  Pray a bit, draft a bit, pray a bit some more, draft a bit some more, proof read a bit, pray a bit some more, and so forth ---  All that really matters, at least to me anymore, at least to the best of my ability as it exists in the now (and that definitely needs be improved upon) is that THE PURPOSES OF THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, generally referred to by me as HIS PURPOSE(S) ---  THAT HIS PURPOSES BE ACCOMPLISHED --- or as aptly put ---

⁷ So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

⁸ Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

⁹ For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

¹¹ For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Quite clearly, truly sagacious Words --- can't help but noticing, at least for me, how much this foundation, solid foundation, WISE MASTER-BUILDER, Principle and Precept, building, building upon, vein/theme keeps coming up...

In addition to the quite apparent ton of transparency that you/you-guys "BUILD" with, in my view definitely evidencing "SOUND" Principle(s) and Precept(s), it also seems quite obvious to me that you have given an extensive amount of time, effort, energy and attention TO THE FOUNDATION and to the foundational PRINCIPLES AND PRECEPTS AND "BEST PRACTICES" that a "WISE MASTERBUILDER" ought properly employ/engage...  Certainly do expect that untold hours of prayer is the underlying to that...  And, to the non-cursory observer, that is a completely "STRIKE-ING" and exceedingly more than welcome (at least to me) quite clear line of demarcation between you/you-guys and just about everything else out there...  I don't even have the words to appropriately express proper appreciation for that --- but, THANK YOU...  Totally inadequate I know, but quite sincerely, THANK YOU...

Hopefully, I am evidencing to you some amount of thought and consideration and diligence indicating a genuine appreciation for what has taken you time and effort and energy and study and learning and application and practice, practice, practice, and trial and error, and absolutely oodles and bunches and countless hours of prayer.  Would like to most clearly make the point here that the very last thing that I would want to do is to in any way, shape, form, or manner dilute, distract, diminish, or otherwise harm what you have built, and continue to build or the PRINCIPLES AND PRECEPTS that you have built upon and continue to build upon ---IN SHORT I HONESTLY AND REALLY DO BELIEVE WHAT THAT YOU/YOU-GUYS HAVE GOING IS REALLY, REALLY SPECIAL!!!!  What I do want to do is to be able to study, learn, grow, develop, practice, practice, practice, develop keen skill and proficiency, TRADE CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLY, and contribute in any way that I reasonably can to what I do genuinely believe is REALLY, REALLY SPECIAL.  Much more could be said in this regard but this reply is getting lengthy.  Brother, said it to you in an email before, I take a great deal of comfort that you/you-guys have both WISDOM and EXPERIENCE with regard to how that I've seen you handle the Live Radio Broadcast, the attendees, the content, etc.  The last thing that I want to do is to detract from anything...  Mean that I really do...

STANDARDS OF CARE:

This I will address very briefly as this response is getting very lengthy --- in business and in law and in business law, the Standards of Care are oft presented (at least in Academic settings) as (1) The Reasonable Man (that is, how would/should a Reasonable Man or Person be expected to conduct himself/herself under the facts and circumstances of the situation/case --- such is generally the standard of care applied to "arms-length" transactions)  (2) The Prudent Man (that is, how would/should a Prudent Man or Person be expected to conduct himself/herself under the facts and circumstances of the situation/case --- such is generally a more rigorous standard of care and applies to such legal arrangements as Investment Advisor, and so forth.  The point is that a higher standard of care than that of a Reasonable Man or Person is expected) and, (3) The Fiduciary Man (you know, this is where we get the term Faithful from and where the pet name "Fido" originates --- Fido, the faithful companion and "Man's Best Friend" which degenerates to the "Wall Street Slogan if you want a friend, get a dog..."  The Fiduciary Man or Person standard of care is de jure the HIGHEST STANDARD of care and usually applies to such things as an Administrator of an Estate, an Executor of a Will, the Board of Directors of an Entity, a Trustee [clearly indicating a position of trust], etc. --- in other words those who have a duty to operate in accord with the best interest[s] of the parties that they represent --- such as to Preserve Principal for the widow and children, etc.) --- These Standards of Care are raised here by me because I DO BELIEVE that you/you-guys DO HOLD YOURSELVES TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF CARE and operate in a FIDUCIARY MANNER toward your partners, and attendees, and indeed, it appears to me toward your Friends and friends --- In my opinion, this is how it ought properly be and I think it only fair, right, and appropriate that you know that I know and that this is the manner and standard that I would wish to conduct myself in and to contribute toward and to do whatever I can to make sure continues to be... Well, certainly more can be researched on all of this on the web, in Black's Law Dictionary (an excellent thing to own for one's self) in good Law textbooks, etc.  I bring it up for the purposes just mentioned and I do find the way that you/you-guys conduct yourselves indeed refreshing...

Well time to endeavor to wrap this up and put a bow on it before Christmas is actually here :-)

As a final note to FULL DISCLOSURE regarding me --- already promised you all of the (reasonable) transparency that you want or need in order to ACCOMPLISH HIS PURPOSE(S)...  THAT'S DONE!!!!  Perhaps the best way that I can do this is to put the final note to notes:

The Scripture instructs us:  And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;  I Thessalonians 5:12 The Authorized King James Version --- Do suppose that I might well have inserted parentheses in there with the words (in trading, parenthesis mine) in a couple of places and that it would still be accurate...  From the American Heritage Dictionary: To Admonish: 1. To reprove gently but earnestly;  2. To counsel (another) against something to be avoided; caution;  3. To remind of something forgotten or disregarded, as an obligation or a responsibility.

and,

Two major points here:  Today, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 it has been two whole weeks if my memory serves me correctly since that I started joining you/you-guys on The Live Radio Broadcasts, Recaps, etc.  Did do a bunch of work on the website prior to that such as DeWayne's videos on http://www.youtube.com/cfrn  Forty of em there and I did indeed go through most of em --- including the one where DeWayne unabashedly stated something to the effect of "If you're still watching these videos, you're looking for something..."  Yeah, huh :-)  Do you really like/as think so... :-)  So, in my mind, don't think a couple of weeks is an inordinate amount of time to endeavor to "check things out..."

And, very much aware that regardless of what the S.E.C. does or doesn't do, or what everybody or anybody else may do in a de facto manner as opposed to de jure (as Dr. Mohamed A. El-Erian most likely might well put it "De Jure is what should happen, or what should have happened; De Facto is what most likely will happen or has happened...") do firmly believe that the standard of care to be applied is that of The Fiduciary Standard.  And, as far as I am concerned, that door swings both ways on level hinges...  Fully intend to do my best to live that out, I do...  (DeWayne --- right about here you most certainly can sing, "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you..." if that you would like)...

Why is it my Brother that I get the distinct impression that you well know the difference between His causing our hearts to burn, and heartburn????  Sure wish that I could have been on that Live Radio Broadcast, and that somebody had recorded it for Podcast and that there had been a Brother DeWayne around at the time to scribe with inclusion all of the notes and pertinent details with great talent so that we could have all of that on the CFRN Blog today --- Absolutely do...

Well, as stated, if we have a meeting of the minds, kindred spirits, if that we are on the same page (do want to know from your point of view) then maybe we ought take the next step in this journey of (more than) a thousand trades.  In my mind that would be a telephone call.  DeWayne, if that seems reasonable to you, when that you have had a chance to digest all of this, hopefully without choking, Please let me know what works for you as convenient for a telephone call and I will do my level best to accommodate...
