God Chasers and Emini Traders
I just finished an interesting dialogue with a fellow netizen in the live chat app here on the site. I had no intention of writing a blog today and as I'm pressed for time, I will simply reference the discussion and point you to a few previously written posts.
BTW - today is Saturday, not just any Saturday, but the one that hangs forever suspended in time between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Imagine what the disciples felt on this day. The Christ, the one whom they had walked and talked and lived and loved with, was gone. They had no reasonable expectation that he would "rise up" on the third day. As you recall, those women at the tomb on Sunday morning were more than a little surprised to find it empty.
Fast forward a few thousand years and we see Friday as a day for contemplation, Saturday a day of anticipation, and Sunday a day of Celebration. He is Alive!
Back to the chat (2,000 years later).
The visitor said "I see you're a Christian."
"Yep"
"So am I" the visitor replied.."and that makes me very suspicious of you".
Not so unusual. I get that all the time. In fact, when I put the name out there (CFRN)... I knew it would come. I don't care. Somebody needs to stand up for Christ. Someone, has to not be ashamed of the Gospel. Imagine if every Christian in the world of business chose to run their business as if they were a Christian. There's a movement afoot if you care to look called The 7 Mountains.
On Which Mountain Will You Take Your Stand?
It's about Christians stepping into positions of influence in
- Business
- Arts & Entertainment
- Education
- Family
- Government
- Media
- Religion
It's not an easy thing to do mind you, as people will be suspicious of your motives. I encourage you to explore the Mountains and see where God would have you take a stand.
