This show is so good because it not only talks about the markets , which we all are enthralled with, but also about finding out about ourselves and how it relates not only to our trading, but maybe even more important about how we see ouselves in the world we live in and how from the knowledge we take from this show can make ourselves a better human being in our life here on earth--I'll say it one more time"MAN I LOVE THIS SHOW"-thanks guys

Keep Breathing - A True Story

Hi DeWayne,

A couple of years ago…maybe the end of 2010, you shared with us a song called “Keep Breathing” by Kerrie Roberts.  At the time I thought I was going through a bad time and instantly loved that song.  One of my kids bought her CD for me and almost all of her songs were great for a Christian going through a tough time.

But in May of 2011 I got sick and was admitted into the hospital on May 5th.  I had some sort of infection that the Dr.’s could not identify….nor could they determine where it came from.  But I was sick indeed.  It also caused abscess’s to form on my intestines and after a week or so of non stop anti-biotic’s I went in for surgery.

They didn’t really find much but they did clean up the abscess areas.  Then when the nurses were turning me to change the bed linens, they opened up my stitches and I had to go in for another surgery…..which was risky because it was very close to the first surgery.

A couple of weeks went by and they were starting to prepare me to go home within a week or two and they decided that they wanted to perform a CT scan to see what was going on.  Apparently my intestines were leaking a little.  Well I drank the oral contrast and within hours I started to go into septic shock.

Eight days later I awoke…..  The septic shock really put my organs, heart and lungs to the test.  My heart beat was out of control and my lungs started to fail…so they put me on life support and I went into a coma for the 8 days.  It was really touch an go there for the first 3 days with blood transfusions and for what ever reason….they couldn’t get me to breathe right or on my own.  My blood pressure kept tanking and my wife and daughters were by my side….and every time the blood pressure would drop to a critical point…they would pray….and the blood pressure would come back up.

During this time the Dr.’s were very concerned with my lungs failing and my daughter brought in that CD.  There was a CD player in the ICU room and they played “Just Breathe” over and over again on repeat…..24 hrs a day.

Finally I stabilized but every time they tried to bring me back to consciousness, my lungs would start to fail again…..and the music played on…”Just Breathe”.  Finally on the 8th day I remember a nurse was in front of me and she asked…Dave…do you think you can breathe…and I just shook my head yes.

To make a long story short…..I listened to that CD over and over again for months as I slowly recovered.  It’s been more than 6 months now and my strength is returning and that CD has meant so much to me during this incredible journey.

So thank you so much for sharing that little song with us on that day.  It may have seemed like a little trivial thing at the time…..but trust me….it was like life itself as God spoke to my heart and my spirit during a tough trial.  A trial where I could actually not breathe at all, if it wasn’t for the grace of a living God.

Thanx DeWayne and God bless!!!!

Best regards,

Dave Webber

When I recevied Dave's email today I was speechless. We all know that's a bit of a rarity for me. As I think back there was such a passion in my heart to share this song. I had no idea what God was up to. Now I do. This is an example of why obedience is better than sacrafice. When God sends the Holy Spirit to direct our hands, our feet, and our hearts, our job is not question why. Our job is to simply obey. and keep breathing...
